I don’t have Spotify so this is the best I got for my music this year. Whether intentionally or not, Spotify is dragging many people for listening to hours of mainstream, cheesy, or excessively emotional tunes. Some memes add comedic edits to the standard Spotify Wrapped images and others comment about how people are tired of seeing their friends’ Spotify Wrapped stats in their social media feeds. Many of these memes joke about how revealing and embarrassing the data about your listening habits can be. Honestly, as somebody who thrashed Boyfriend by Ashlee Simpson on repeat every day, I say it’s time that we all just own our guilty pleasure playlists. It has been a tough year for most of us, but nobody truly knows you more intimately than your Spotify account. I cant wait for spotify wrapped to tell me how depressed i am- bat ?⚰️ December 1, 2020 My spotify wrapped exposed my extremely depressed phase where i listened to literally nothing but the hamilton soundtrack for a month straight. I mean, nothing quite says “you’re depressed” like listening to the Hamilton sountrack on repeat for a month and a half, does it? Sorry Brenda, but Lin-Manuel Miranda does *not* count as a therapist.
